About Jazz
NZAMD New Zealand Association of Modern Dance American Jazz syllabus. This exciting program is suitable for students from 7 years through to adults. The syllabus features comprehensive warm-ups, barre and floor work, progressions with turns and leaps, and stylish combinations. Each grade includes set dances with performances.
Our classes incorporate music on CD or teachers' choice of the latest tunes. Whether you're a once-a-week student or aiming for a dance career, this program develops NZAMD trained jazz dancers who perform in shows around the world. Examinations are available in Grades One to Advanced Two, plus the Solo Performance Diploma. Assessments are also available at all levels. For preschool and younger dancers from 4 to 7 years, we offer the Rosette Pre Grades program.
