What we collect on this website
When you send a message or ask for a free first class, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, what your message is about, and the message itself. We also receive the technical details any website receives, such as your IP address, which our spam protection uses to tell people from robots.
Why we collect it
To reply to you. That is the only reason. We don't add you to a mailing list because you asked a question, and we don't share your details with anyone for marketing.
Who handles it
- Cloudflare hosts this website and provides the spam check on our forms.
- Resend delivers your message to us as an email. Its servers are in the United States.
- Data Tradies, who build and look after this website for us, can see form messages while fixing a problem and nothing more.
- Google provides, if we turn analytics on, the aggregate visitor statistics described below.
- Class Manager runs our enrolments. When you enrol or book, you're dealing with Class Manager directly under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through this site arrive in the studio's email inbox and stay there while we deal with your enquiry. Ask and we'll delete them. Enrolment records live in Class Manager and are kept for as long as you're a student with us and as long as tax law requires afterwards.
Children
Many of our students are children. Enrolments and any information about a child come from a parent or guardian, and only they can ask us about it or change it.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, and ask us to correct it. Email the studio or call +64 21 0844 3553. If you're not happy with how we've handled something, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Analytics
If we use website analytics, they measure how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are popular, how people found us — and are set up not to identify you personally.
